Legends Brass Trumpet Backbores:
Legends Brass Heavyweight and Lightweight Trumpet Backbores
Legends Brass trumpet backbores give you the ability to improve or change your sound without switching to a different rim and cup. To accommodate all playing styles, Legends Brass offers seven backbore models: the Legends 'Manhattan', 'T', 'LA', 'Vegas', 'S', 'O', and 'Chicago' (in order from tightest to most open). Each of our backbore models is available in both the heavyweight and lightweight style or blank. All backbores have Warburton compatible threads.
Legends "Manhattan" Backbore: Our tightest backbore. The Manhattan has great focus and nice resistance. It is specifically geared for the needs of players on those extended performances and all night gigs. It has been described by our customers as being similar in feel to a Warburton New York NY or Q backbore. It's not a copy of any Warburton backbore, but it has a similar blow. The shank is based upon a #5 sleeve to make sure all horns will receive it properly. This backbore comes in our lightweight (less efficient for a slightly tighter feel) and heavyweight (more efficient for a slightly more open feel) styles. It has the Legends enhanced #27 throat.
