Legends Brass Trumpet Tops: For the more advanced player it may be desirable to have a top (rim, cup, and throat) which can be used with different backbores or even different shanks (a cornet or flugel shank, for example). Each Legends Brass model is available as a top. Although some of our tops are inspired by historically popular rim and cup combinations (see our catalog page for details on each model) each one has design modifications, usually focused on the throat area. We have found that these changes enhance endurance, intonation and range. The flexibility to interchange tops and backbores makes it easy to change the characteristics of your sound to your satisfaction. Make your own combination of top(s) and backbore(s)!
