Legends Brass is honored to partner with the legendary Dave Banks to offer this piece to our customers! Mr. Banks is well known as a veteran Las Vegas trumpet artist and the leader of The Dave Banks Big Band, among other endeavors.
This mouthpiece has a rim that is semi-flat and very soft. There is some undercut for chop room and bite. The cup is medium shallow with a #27 throat. This piece has low cup-volume, but the rounded entrance to the throat allows plenty of air to pass through for a nice big sound. The backbore is a Legends O ("open"). Slotting is excellent with this model. The Legends Banks is equally suited for playing legit technical music, sophisticated big band, and screaming lead!

Trumpet artist Dave Banks enjoys an active performance career as a bandleader, on the stage, and in the studio. Dave is in constant demand, serving as lead trumpet for the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra and Porthouse Theatre, and frequently is seen performing Broadway shows at Playhouse Square, with the Cleveland Pops Orchestra, and with his own group, The Dave Banks Big Band, where he performs in top jazz spots, and backs major entertainers across the Midwest. Dave previously performed for twenty years in Las Vegas, Nevada, working with the Flamingo and Las Vegas Hilton Orchestras, as well as for many major stars while with the Lou Elias Relief Orchestra. Symphonic credits include the Nevada Symphony Orchestra and the Las Vegas Philharmonic. He was also a Trumpet Instructor and Assistant Director of Bands at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. A former student of Claude Gordon in Los Angeles, Dave is a Calicchio Trumpet Artist and plays on the Dave Banks Calicchio Trumpet and Flugelhorn. He plays on his own Signature Series line of trumpet mouthpieces with Legends Brass.
