Legends JT 1A:
This mouthpiece was inspired by a famous Jet-Tone rim and cup. Consistent with the Jet-Tone naming system, the 'A' rim is somewhat flat with the highest point being closer to the outside. It's an incredibly comfortable rim. The cup is shallow (comparable to a Bach D). The entrance to the throat is open so it yields plenty of air flow and a nice big sound. The Legends JT blank is a perfect balance: enough mass to enhance slotting with a big core, but not so much mass that the sound won't sizzle! Although this design was inspired by a Jet-Tone piece, this is not a copy! This piece has the Legends enhanced throat (#27), throat cylinder length, and the Legends S backbore. This model is well suited for legit or lead playing. Slotting and intonation are excellent with the JT 1A.
