Legends JT MF:
Here are some specs on this piece: JT MF
This mouthpiece was inspired by a famous Maynard Ferguson Jet-Tone mouthpiece. The rim just gradually melts into the cup, making it incredibly comfortable. The cup is a medium shallow convex V from rim to throat. The entrance to the throat is open for plenty of air flow for a nice big sound in any register. Slotting is excellent with the JT MF. It's kept in stock in the Legends JT blank, which is a perfect balance: enough mass to enhance slotting with a big core, but not so much mass that the sound won't sizzle! Although this design was inspired by a piece played by the legendary Maynard Ferguson, this is not a copy! This piece has the Legends enhanced throat (#27), throat cylinder length, and the Legends S backbore. The JT MF is versatile enough for everything from legit to Maynard-style solo and lead playing.
