The L-14A4L has a semi-flat rim. The cup is medium depth, with a rounded entrance to the throat which allows plenty of air flow for a nice big sound. Slotting is excellent with the L-14A4L. Customers that have used this model have described it as being similar to some of the Schilke models. It is not a copy of any Schilke, but it has a similar rim and cup. The Legends L-14A4L has the Legends enhanced throat (#27), throat cylinder length, and Legends S backbore. It is equally equipped for solo, lead or jazz playing, with extra zing when needed.
