The rim is semi-flat and very soft. It has nice undercut for chop room and bite. The cup is based on the famous "SL" cup, and is medium shallow. It has low cup volume, and the rounded entrance to the throat ensures plenty of air flow for a nice big sound. Slotting is excellent with this model. Customers familiar with Legends Brass models will find the L-B5L to be similar to the L-B4L, with a slightly smaller inside rim diameter and slightly more shallow cup. Customers that have played the L-B5L have described it as being similar to some of the smaller Monette pieces, but it is not a copy! The L-B5L has the Legends enhanced throat (#27), throat cylinder length, and Legends S backbore. These design elements work together to maximize endurance, range and sound for the player. The L-B5L can play legit or screaming lead!
