The Legends L-BL has a semi-flat, very soft rim. It has some undercut for chop room and bite. The cup is medium depth. The entrance to the throat is rounded to allow good air flow for a nice big sound. Slotting is excellent with this model. It is suitable for any style of playing, but is especially good for that smoky jazz sound. The L-BL has been described as being similar to the feel of some Monette pieces, but it is not a copy. The L-BL has the Legends enhanced throat (#27), throat cylinder length, and Legends S backbore.
